TESTING VOLTAGE Perform this test on the starter motor positive terminalTo access the terminal, slide the boot awayNOTE:
and the starter motor should operate 4Disconnect the two-wire plug from the starter relay; then connect the red tester lead
to the green wire and the black tester lead to the black wire NOTE: If the meter showed no battery voltage, inspect the main
fuse, ground connections, starter motor lead, battery voltage (at the battery), switches, starter relay, or neutral start
relay 5Depress the starter button and observe the multimeterNOTE: If battery voltage is indicated, replace the starter relayIf
no voltage is indicated, proceed to Neutral Start Relay check Starter Relay 1Remove the seat; then using the multimeter set
to the D.CVoltage position, check the relay as follows2Connect the red tester lead to the positive battery terminal; then
connect the black tester lead to the starter cable connection on the starter relayThe meter must show battery voltage Neutral
