4Remove the brake pads from the caliperInspecting and Measuring 1Inspect the pads for gouges, chips, or wear 2Inspect the
installing new pads, the new pads must be burnished (see Burnishing Brake Pads in this section) 5If the free-play gap is
not within tolerance7 readJust the jam nuts of the adjuster arm in 114 turn increments until the correct free-play gap is
attainedWNOTE: Apply the brake number of times to ensure the wheels lock and the brakelight illuminates properly 6If the
rear cable adustment inadequate to attain is the proper brake pedal arm free-play gap7make adustment the front cable aduster
nutsat Jam Burnishing Brake Pads Brake pads (both hydraulic and auxiliary) must be burnished to achieve full braking effectivenessBraking
distance will be extended until brake pads are properly burnishedTo properly burnish the brake pads, use the following procedure
If adjusting the rear cable at both ends does not attain proper brake pedal arm free-play, the brake pads must be replaced
