screws securing the upper steering post bearing housings to the frame 5Inspect the steering post and steering-postbrackets
for cracks, bends, or wear 6Inspect the bearing halves, bearing caps7 and bearing housings for cracks or wear7Inspect the
handlebar tube for cracks, wear7 or unusual bends 8Inspect the handlebar grips for damage or wear INSTALLING 13Remove the
steering post 1Place the steering post into position; then place the upper steering post bearings and housings on the steering
post and install the two cap screws through the housings and into the frameTighten the cap screws to 2.8 kg-m (20 ft-lb)
