4While holding the valve adjuster dial in place, use the valve adjuster handle and loosen the jam nut; then rotate the tappet
the valve adjuster dial counter- 1Remove the cap screws securing the recoil starter; then remove the recoil starter assembly2Remove

counterclockwise to the TDC position on the compression stroke indicated by the TF mark (A) on the flywheelTF is top dead
center frontIAt this point, the rocker arms and adjuster screws on the front cylinder must not have pressure on them 9Install
