Removing Engine Transmission 733-441A Many service procedures can be performed without removing the enginetransmission from
the frameClosely observe the note introducing each sub-section for this important information 6Remove the front and rear
fender panels (see Section 8)7On the VP models, turn the gas tank valve to the OFF position; then remove the fuel hose and
vent hoseOn the FIS models, disconnect the fuel hose (1), carburetor vent hose (2), and the fuel pump vacuum hose (3) from
the carburetor AT THIS POINT If the technician's objective is to servicereplace left-side cover oil seals (3), front output
joint oil seal (1), rear output joint oil seal (1), andor the oil strainer (from beneath the engine transmission), the enginetransmission
does not have to be removed from the frame Secure the ATV on support stand to elevate the wheels ! WARNING Make sure the
ATV is solidly supported on the support stand to avoid injury 1Remove the seat; then remove the battery covertool tray 8Remove
