NOTE: Use Valve Clearance 0444-078) for this procedure Adjuster ATurn the engine over until the piston reaches top dead center
NOTE: Arctic Cat recommends that new gaskets and O-rings be installed whenever servicing the ATV 1From the left side, place
the enginetransmission into the frame; then slide the engine rearward as far as possible2Slightly raise the rear of the engine
and engage the front drive coupler into the splines of the front drive output yoke; then slide the engine forward as far
as possible FWhile holding the adjuster dial at the proper clearance setting, tighten the jam nut securely with the valve
adjuster handle31Place the two tappet covers into position making sure the proper cap screws are with the proper coverTighten
the cap screws securelyCD818 3Raise the rear of the engine and place block beneath it; then install the propeller shaft and
output flange into the rear drive coupler 32If removed, install the spark plugTighten to specifications 4Remove the block
