Carburetor (650 V-Twin) ! WARNING Whenever any maintenance or inspection is performed on the fuel system during which there
up to operating temperature; then attach tachometer and adjust the idle RPM to 1050-1150 RPMTurn the handlebar full left
and full rightIf RPM changes, check for throttle cable adjustment or improper routing5Rock carburetors from side to side
and note RPMAir leaks will cause RPM to increaseTighten all clamps, boots, and hosesInspect for cracks 6Position the carburetor
in the air cleaner boot and intake pipe assembly; then secure with the clamps7Connect the hose at the gas tank valve connection
6Check the air filter housing and air filter for water, fuel, dirt, or other contaminationWash or replace if necessary7Check
pilot adjustment by turning pilot screws in until lightly seated; then back out 14 turnsIf no change in RPM is noted as the
screws are turned in, check for an air leak between the carburetor and the cylinder head 8As necessary, secure the air-intake
