4Slowly release the friction plate and lift the plate with ratchet guide free of the recoil case; then remove the ratchet
the spring with thumbs and alternately release each thumb to allow the spring to gradually release from the case 10Unwind
the rope from the reel and remove the ropeCleaning and Inspecting 1 NOTE: Whenever part is worn excessively, cracked, or
damaged in any way, replacement is necessary 1Clean all components2Inspect the springs and ratchet for wear or damage3Inspect
the reel and case for cracks or damage 7Carefully lift the reel from the case making sure the spiral spring does not accidentally
