2Remove the negative cable from the batter Table of Contents then remove the positive cableRemove the attery vent hose; then
Tran engine1 - Removing Engine Transmission Many service procedures can be performed without removing the engineltransmission
from the frameClosely observe the note introducing each sub-section for this important information View from Beneath 6Remove
the front and rear fender panels (see Section 8) 7Disconnect the fuel hose (I), carburetor vent hose (2), and the fuel pump
vacuum hose (3) from the B AT THIS POINT carburetor If the technician's objective is to servicelreplace left-side cover oil
seals (3), front output joint oil seal (I), rear outputjoint oil seal (I), andlor the oil strainer (from beneath the engine1
transmission), the engineltransmission does not have to be removed from the frame Secure the ATV on support stand to elevate
the wheels Make sure the ATV is solidly supported on the support stand to avoid iniurv 1Remove the seat 8Disconnect the crankcase
vent hose from the air cleaner housingRemove the clamp securing the air intake hose to the carburetor; then remove the housing
