NOTE: The brakelight should illuminate whenever either brake is appliedIf the brakelight does not illuminate, troubleshoot
positionKM460A 4With the ignition switch in the ON position, select the DC volts position on the tester; then apply either
brakeThe meter must read battery voltageIf battery voltage is observed and no audible "click" was heard in step or 2, remove
the tester leads and replace the start-in-gear relay5Shift the gear selector out of neutral and connect jumper wire between
the yellowgreen wire (2) and the green wire (4) 2Connect the red tester lead to the green wire; then connect the black tester
lead to the white wire3With the dimmer switch in the LO position (LO beam), the meter must show battery voltage4Connect the
red tester lead to the blue wireWith the dimmer switch in the HI position (HI beam), the meter must show battery voltageNOTE:
If battery voltage is not shown in any test, inspect the fuses, battery, main wiring harness, connectors, or the left handlebar
