MAINTENANCE Tie Rod EndSteering Inspection To check for play in the tie rod end, grasp the steering tie rod, pull in all
assembly to determine the cause4Measure the distance from the string to the rim at the front (1) and rear (2) of the front
rimThe rear measurement should be116" (01.5 mm) more than the front measurement on each side of the vehicle to obtain the
recommended18" (0mm) toe out alignmentRepeat the measurement procedure on the other side of the vehicleToe Alignment Use
the following procedure to check the toe alignment of the vehicleThe recommended toe alignment is18" (0mm) toe out12Position
the vehicle on smooth level surfaceSet handlebars in straight ahead position and secure handlebars in this position NOTE:
If you discover improper alignment, refer to "Toe Alignment Adjustment" procedure = In mmWheel Toe-out Alignment:18" (0mm)
