Throttle Plate Synchronization 1Loosen cam follower adjustment screw follower away from throttle cam and move cam 2Loosen
to dock or trailer2Start the engine and allow it to reach normal operating temperature3Check idle RPM in FORWARD gear with
an accurate tachometer achieve 800 25 RPM when idle speed screw is firmly against its stopTighten locknut5Start engine and
verify idle speed in FORWARD gearVerify that the idle timing is ATDC 1, If idle timing is not within range, optimize the
carburetor idle mixture screwsRefer to Carburetor Mixture Adjustment, Section 2Then repeat Step 4If the engine does not respond
properly to this adjustment or if you cannot verify an idle timing of ATDC when engine is idling in FORWARD gear at 800 25
RPM, check the following: Engine temperature Powerhead condition Sufficient exhaust back pressure Vacuum balance hose (if
