Idle Timing 1These adjustments can be performed using either of two methods: The engine in an appropriate test tank with
idle timing 7Start engine and verify idle timing following Steps thru 6 INote This procedure should provide the best idle
characteristics while allowing engine idle speeds in gear ranging from 575 to 700 RPM, depending on propeller selection If
idle speed is too high, check induction system for air leaks If idle speed is too low when engine condition is correct, decrease
idle timing to achieve desired RPMExample: ATDC to ATDC 8Start engine and shift remote control to FORWARD detent W 9Turn
throttle arm stop screw clockwise until tachometer indicates 950 RPMW fA10Stop the engineWithout disturbing the throttle
arm position, turn expansion[f] [f] 11 Tighten expansion link lock ring link adjustment knob counterclockwise until timer
base just begins to move away from the idle iming screw 12Gently push back on the throttle arm while turning the throttle
arm stop screw counterclockwise until the original cam pickup point is reached 13Continue turning the throttle arm stop screw
