Submerged Engines Engine Dropped Overboard (Not Running) If engine is recovered from water immediately, it must be serviced
engine in horizontal position (spark plug openings down) and work out all the water by slowly rotating crankshaft approximately
20 times or until there are no signs of water5Drain carburetorsplace engine in upright position and remove carburetors for
disassembly and draining6Starters, electrical connectors, and all electrical equipment should be completely disassembled,
cleaned, flushed with fresh water, treated with water displacing electrical spray, and thoroughly dried before reassembly7Inject
outboard lubricant into spark plug holes8Reassemble parts you removed and disconnectedStart engine (follow starting instruction)
and run one-half hour using the "break-in" fuel oil mixtureRun the engine on "break-in" fueloil mixture for approximately
