MAINTENANCE Hydrolock A hydrolock condition can be caused by either water or fuel ingestionMost often, water ingestion causes
follow these steps: 1Lift the seat assembly off of the topdeckIs the seat abnormally heavy compared to others? 2Check engine
compartment hull liner for signs of water andor water line3Visually inspect engine for signs of cracking, or missing parts4Check
engine compression5Inspect reeds for water damage6Verify crankshaft index(3 cylinder engines120_cylinder engines180_ 7Inspect
flywheel and flywheel key for abnormal damageVerify ignition timing on MAG cylinder8Always check for service tips service
bulletinsIf the engine requires disassembly, check the following components for signs of hydrolock: Crankshaft Bearings:
Inspect ALL bearings for signs of rust or damageConnecting Rods: Inspect for cracks, overheating, or dimplesroller bearing
